service engine light

I have a question about the service engine light. About 2 months ago i installed a Turboxs full exhaust w/ high flow cat, ingen air intake system, hallman MBC, walbro pump, greddy type-s bov custom lower ic pipe and hks 272/272 cams. The car idles rough which i have had adjusted up to about 1100 rpms. but now the service engine light is coming on. I have tried disconnecting the battery but the light comes back on again about 30 minutes later. what's going on could it just be an o2 sensor or what.

My Evo does the same thing...the SES light comes on about once a month and stays on for a few days, then goes off...I don't notice any difference in performance...I think it's the high-flow cat...I just ignore it...

Just a stupid question, but did you get your car tuned (Re-flash, EMS) for the upgrades? You should have a good idle if you did. There are a lot of people running the same set-up with near factory idle.

i kept having the P0420 with my helix hf cat, that s because is would leak where the cat and cat-back would meet. P0420 is exhaust leak code so check for leaks.

Yah thats what I said! It's very basic and doesn't have all the extra's the larger/more expensive units come with. If you need the item # or anything just let me know.

I got it at Advanced.. its pretty small and is orange. It's very basic (reads/deletes codes) but it has been a very useful tool that helps me sleep a little better at night

this should help. depending on how much clearance you have, you may need to source out a 90 degree bend. I did this and now, no light .

i haven't had time to read the code yet, but I have my service light on and have a high flow cat..

if i have an exhaust leak, i should notice a change in boost right?

because my boost seems to be spooling and holding fine in each gear..my guess is the service light is on because of the p0300 code
