Found a pic of the defi in a BR pod mounted on the right http://gallery.evolutionm.net/showphoto.php?photo=1827

As for the reading. it should sit at 0 when the car is off, and around 20 mmHG when the car is idling, because it is drawing a vaccumm. It will rise to 0 once the turbo is spooling, and go into the psi under boost.

I ordered my D-series from egauges.com

Unless someone knows differently, I believe that's the cheapest place to buy them. Quick shipping, too. If you can afford it, a lot of people like the BF series because they match the stock gauge cluster almost perfectly. My brother has the Greddy Blacklite (or whatever its called) boost gauge and it looks awesome. He's never had any problems with it. As far as Autometer, I too, have heard mixed reviews.

Just get a Turbosmart E-Boost controller / gauge... for the money.. you get both AND you can mount on the column like me

You'll get a kick *** gauge and a completely tuneable and high quality electronic boost controller all in one All for about 450 bucks. Some places even cheaper...just my suggestion.

what is the difference between the
"electronic" gauges versus the standar ones...? Is their no vacuum hookup to the electric gauges? + is the BF series defi electric or standard like the d series? thanks in advance....

the standard one has the vacuum line that connects directly to the gauge, the electronic has a sender unit that can just send wires to the gauge.

Standard (mechanical) gauges have the vacuum tubing go directly to the back of the gauge. In an electrical gauge, the tubing is connected to an electric sensor box. A simple wire is connected to the gauge from that sensor box. BF series are electrical while D-series are all mechanical.

thanks... is there any accuracy advantage between the two types?
the sensor box... is this small enough to tuck away under the dash someplace? TIA.
