Anyone Up For Protesting In Long Island, Ny???
Now I dont know who you are but i'm 20 years old and i pay for my own car. I put 6000$ down and financed it myself. i pay 585.28$ a month for this car. I'f I';m going to pay 36k (after tax) for a 2005 loaded Evo, then i want it to run right and if something goes wrong i expect the owners of "THE BEST BACKED CARS IN AMERICA" to do something about it. I'll be doing this on saturdays only. Since I have a TV deck in my car i'll play gran turismo if i get bored.[/QUOTE]
I'm 31 years old and bought an EVO knowing full well that the owness would fall on me to keep it running. It is well documented that Mitsu's got some problems (but i had to have an EVO)- I would expect more intrest, initiative and mech. pride in your own abilites especially from a purveyor of EVO aftermarket parts. The purchase price of these cars is the tip of the iceburg and good luck to anyone who expects Mitsu to keep it running for them.
You need a Honda son. Good luck!

YES actually it was VERY IMMATURE for the dealer to do this to him. Luckily he's keeping a reasonable sense of humor and doing something about it!!!
You keep that lemon suit on son and keep the pressure up, if you run low on lemonade. I'll send you a couple bucks.
I'm proud-a-ya boy!
When life gives you lemons, make lemonade ! (while you ride their butts till they do something to fix it.)
Keep the faith, and keep us posted, it may not take as long as you think.

I had a tsi awd before this, i built the motor, tranny, head, had 4 turbos on it (not at once obviously, went bigger and bigger etc...) I know my **** about the cars. I bought a 2005 evo with plans on modifying it and if I broke it I'd take care of it, BUT IF THE DEALER BROKE MY CAR THEN I EXPECT THEM TO PAY FOR IT.
Dont get it twisted buddy, i did not break my car in the slightest bit. I brought them MY car for a SLIGHT 5TH GEAR GRIND. THEY rebuilt my tranny and INSTALLED 3RD GEAR SLEEVE UPSIDE DOWN. AND EITHER LEFT A CLIP OFF OR USED AN INCORRECT CLIP THAT EVENTUALLY LEAD TO MY REAR BEARING TO FALL OFF AND TEAR UP MY HOUSING.
i'm sorry but if the dealer broke your car, and you just said "Ah screw it, its an evo what can i expect" then that would be retarted.
Well then there are only 2 who think its a little immature. Immature would be vandalizing the lot or tearin up cars on the lot. He is not hurting nething, just stating the facts, in a loud way. Too many ppl get screwed by dealerships, wish I could come support u.

yea at first i was gonna buy a couple cases of lemons and throw them all over the parking lot, but I decided that would be immature. I'm simply expressing my freedom of speech by protesting in a non violent way.
owness would fall on me

i don't know how someone can say "well you bought an evo, you shouldn't expect ANY service". yes the mitsu service might suck bungholes, but in THEORY, his consumer rights are protected.
that's why we're paying taxes and our friends and family are out fighting wars. it's the PRINCIPLE. i bet if he missed a single payment on his car, it would get repo'ed by the bank. yet it's supposedly ok for the dealer not to pay for their mistakes? the lil guy always get the shaft up his rear. we all know this. i think you're a perfect example of an American fighting for his rights. salute to ya!
I'm pretty sure people are fighting wars for the gasoline to power our Evos. I think there should be a war to fight to get warranty service for Evos as well.
Fight, for your right, to hand out free le-mo-nade!

haha, NICE! If I was in NY, I'd be the best dancing lemon you've ever seen!
Why don't you get the email address to the dealership and post it here? Have you tried taking any legal action?
