Haven't you filed an official lemon suit? There are law offices that specialize in that type of thing. I looked into it as well for my "vibrating brakes" issue that has been to the dealer 5 times for, but decided the value of the parts didn't justify my time. As long as they keep fixing it for free, I'm not going to complain too much.

I don't think they will charge you until you get something out of it. So while the lemonade thing might be neat for a while, you might be making better use of your time filing an official suit. Just do a quick search on the internet as I am sure they are a few firms on the east coast who would take your case. Just fill out the form and submit it.

Protesting is good, but I only think it will get you so far. I think if you really want them to do something, you need to take it to the next level....

Good luck...

No, but if you're there when I'm at my girlfriend's I'll drive by and chuckle. I think you're libel to cause more trouble than it's worth. You're better off filing complaints with the BBB and other such organizations. It's a lot less time consuming.

I'll be doing this on saturdays only. Since I have a TV deck in my car i'll play gran turismo if i get bored.
I'm 31 years old and bought an EVO knowing full well that the owness would fall on me to keep it running. It is well documented that Mitsu's got some problems (but i had to have an EVO)- I would expect more intrest, initiative and mech. pride in your own abilites especially from a purveyor of EVO aftermarket parts. The purchase price of these cars is the tip of the iceburg and good luck to anyone who expects Mitsu to keep it running for them.
You need a Honda son. Good luck! [/QUOTE]

If Mitsubishi claims they'll back it, they should back it. Period. Though I agree with you in principle, that's just cautious skepticism. Legally, they're just as obligated to back an Evolution as they are to back a Lancer, an Outlander, a Galant or any Eclipse. And btw, it's "onus".

EDIT: Apparently quoating something with an open quote makes for a messy post. Try to ignore that.

I dont want to lemon law the car because it would cost me a ton of $ and time to get everything I have taken off. The front mount, tv deck, alarm with remote start and pager, etc.. too much of a headache. i'd rather make the dealer lose money and enjoy my car in the mean time. I dont want to lay out 1000$ to make the car stock and then drive a stock evo around for the next 3 months while i fight lemon law.

I bought a 2005 evo with plans on modifying it and if I broke it I'd take care of it, BUT IF THE DEALER BROKE MY CAR THEN I EXPECT THEM TO PAY FOR IT.

Dont get it twisted buddy, i did not break my car in the slightest bit. I brought them MY car for a SLIGHT 5TH GEAR GRIND. THEY rebuilt my tranny and INSTALLED 3RD GEAR SLEEVE UPSIDE DOWN. AND EITHER LEFT A CLIP OFF OR USED AN INCORRECT CLIP THAT EVENTUALLY LEAD TO MY REAR BEARING TO FALL OFF AND TEAR UP MY HOUSING.

i'm sorry but if the dealer broke your car, and you just said "Ah screw it, its an evo what can i expect" then that would be retarted.
Easy brother, I started a lil' sh*t so i owe you a reply... LOL. This is the first time I have read the exact mech. F-ups the dealer was responsible for... (upside down gear sleeve, etc). Don't get ME wrong, you have a case. However I stand by my critique of your metheods... where did the breakdown in communication / relationship with the dealer occur? Do they deney they f'd it up? Did you get belligerant? I'm only asking becuase even for a Mitsu dealer that's bizzare. Did you talk to another dealer, district rep? My point here is with such a strong case you have many options to work this through in a slightly more constructive manor, i.e getting your car fixed quickly without drama.
I apologize if I came across as patronizing or just a plain d*ck but I reserve the right to call people out if it sounds a little bit suspect... aparently I'm wrong in your case. GOOD LUCK.

For all of you that jumped at the chance to flame or point out spelling errors or my favorite poor "quoating" S*ck my BA11s.

I live in Ny, if im free this weekend im coming thru to suPPoRT!! I can't stand this kinda crap! I feel like if you are a TECH for Mitsu you know how to fix a car. If you are not qualified to do a REBUILD...Don't do it! They prob had some dumb b@$tard doing it. I can't tell u how many times I took my car to Mitsu and they said it was done when it was not. (They have lost my remote, left my intake unhooked (eclispe GSX)etc...) NOt to mention they just charge me for crap that didnt fix the prob.

yes talked to mitsu national, talked to districe rep, talked to other dealers.

I never got belligerent. I dont get crazy, I was always respectful and cooperative. they told me out of nowhere two tech reps saw my car and wont cover it anymore. BUT IT DOESNT MATTER BECAUSE THE 2ND, AND 3RD TIMES THEY WERENT USING MY WARRANTY ANYWAY.
