Maxi, Claudius...I got my rimzzz!

Well dudes, I finally got my new Enkei Tarmac Evo's today. I didn't know that they came with a pearl effect on the paint. That was a nice surprise. I'll take some pics and post on this thread soon. Thanks again for all of your help.

Here's the picture of the wheel not that all of you haven't seen it on Maxi's beautiful car yet. I put the Evo brochure there since I don't have the car yet. Anyways, I hear the Bridgestone S03's are really good and quiet which I feel is important. I'm attaching the pic so I hope it works. The Enkei logo is a actually a sticker which I'll prolly put on later and it says WRC Tarmac Evo on the lip. It's got the WRC look to it don't you think?

Hahaha

Wow. I guess its going to be. Build it yourself kits.. .. or they will do financing and as you pay it off per month they send you a part of the car as some sadistic(spelling) joke.

Yes they are white pearl!

They look really good I noticed that only when I received mine's too.

BTW I think they will really look goood on your red evo viii!

About tyres, s 03 shouldnt be too bad, but some people say that the s 02 were better.

You could also get pirelli p zero assimmetrico yellow, they are very good.
Then when you get used to the evo, you will want some road legal slicks like yokohama a 048r

As soon as you get your evo, you have to post some pictures of it in NYC streets!

Hmm, I don't think we get wicked tires like the A048r's in the U.S. At least I haven't been able to find them. The closest would prolly be the A032R's. The car should arrive within the next month so I'll post the pics soon. So were you on the same roads as the Monte WRC Maxi? It sure looked like it. Again, great vid. For whomever asked I paid $380.00 per wheel.

The a032 are the same kind of tyre, but use the evo with good road tyres first to get used to the reactions.

The roads of the video are not the ones of the rally, as I did the video on the sunday of the rally there would have been a little bit too much people
You can see a video of the wrc shakedown of thursday here SHAKEDOWN

Did you try to weight one rim to see if the weight is 9.6kg?

Try BFG G-Force KD's (much better in the dry than S03s and will last longer s02's were better)or Michelin Pilot Cup Sport's (they won't last long but the grip is insane!)

I did some calculations at work and on an 18" rim a 40 profile 235 will have a 2mm bigger diameter than a 235/45/17" this is just a FYI thing for those thinking about an 18" rim
