Dose any one eknow when they will stop making evo

I talked to my dealer yesterday and he told me that will stop making EvoVIII by September or sooner. I was thinking that would continue to still make EvoIII because why would they stop making cars that would give them millions of dollars. Well, dose anyone know if is relay going to stop making the Evo or was this dealer just trying to fool me into buying the Evo sooner?

I highly doubt that will stop producing the EVO by Sept. Sounds like that dealer wants you to get one right now. There are several rumors in other threads that suggest that will keep the EVO till EVO X. Others have said that the Lancer EVO will become US made while will shift the EVO to the Colt.

I think making the Evo ''Made in the USA" would suck it wont be as good as the import version. And maybe they might change it a lot and then by changing it a lot, it would end up evolving into the colt

He is possibly right, as the Evo 8, as all past Evos are limited production cars. This does not mean that the Evo 8 is the last Evo. Tooling and planning for Evo 9 would soon start thereafter.

I believe they made around 10,000 Evo VIIs which didn't all sell right away, so they were still being sold after production had ended. Again, with the Evo VIII demand will be a factor on production length. This could end early or could continue on a little longer. I don't think anyone really knows yet, unless has made a set date regardless of demand.

unlike Japan production which is typically 3 months run. The U.S spec EVO production will continue through out the model year.. EVO is here is stay and will only get better with each generation!

The Mother has spoken!

That makes way more sense to me than some of the craziness I have been seeing on here!

TheMotherShip, If they continue production throughout the model year, how many units does that equate to for this model of the U.S. EVO?

So we could be looking at more than just 6000 units for the U.S. Right?
