I went to turbotrix and they told me its definetelly a CLUTCH .... WOW if thats the case EXEDY twin plate is PIECE OF SHIIIIIIIT!!!! How can a STOCK clutch outlast a 2000 dollar clutch ??? 3 k miles and this is what happens OMG.... when i start moving everything is fine the clutch dosnt slip but when i stand still i can barely get it into gear once the car is warmed up when its cold like this morning i couldnt do jack..... this sucks ..

experienced this already....with my HKS twin disc.
same same thing....Upon racing it was slipping...but to drive home it was fine..

never had a problem after for a few weeks but i knew something had to be wrong.
so we pulled down the gearbox only to find that the clutch was messed up. In the center where the two discs and the spacer is.

but the HKS twins are made up a little different. The spacer in the middle is held apart by some springs and 3 bolts.......these all snapped so the disc in between the spacer was all over the place. That's why it couldnt handle the hi-rpm launches and all the power.

But it was more than enough for everyday driving.

The center release bearing either goes in or it doesnt. If the clip pops out it will do it when your trying to put the trans in. Now if the throwout bearing snaps in ... thats it, it doesnt pop out. He has 3k miles on it... goes to the track then it decides to pop out .. Dont think so. The bearing is supposed to snap in ..thats what a pull clutch does. .. If its wasnt in .. he would of never been able to drive the car.

So mark, what do you theorize Kubas problem is? What material is the Exedy clutch made of? Which model Exedy clutch do you have Kuba?

True. I agree. Just starange how he was able NOT abloe to shift and then later he was able to shift.

Maye he should look at the triple disk or carbon series - his car is making massive trq now

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'll be running a ACT after i have fun blowing the stocker up. I don't think I've seen ONE person compain about the ACT. Strong and cheap, you gotta love that.

Mark doesn't the orange monster run ACT?

even if the throw out wasnt seated properly, it will eventually make a really loud pop noise and go in, weither it breaks something or not who is to say? but any ways, if you are having problems shifting and it feels like it catches every time you go to shift the it is the sychros.

We were running the stock pressure plate up until this week. In puerto rico, jeff had spun it a couple of times. But that plate was in the car all season. ACT made us a special clutch for our car which im putting in this week ...

I spoke to Dirk from ACT recently, he said the regular ACT clutch (not 6-puck) should hold 400WHP no problem. I have an ACT, I believe him!
