You still don't get it. The cost of the vehicle has nothing to do with it adn I ALWAYS go with my customers on demo drives. It's actually against the law not to in Minnesota.

gtr, calm down. No one is flaming you. You offered up your opinion along with a question. You can't be mad that people actually took the opportunity to reply and give THEIR opinion. Now, I don't know you at all, but I think you may be offended by this brochure because of it's "informal" nature. But truthfully, this informal nature is very identifyable to the market segment that Mitsu is trying to target with the Evo in the US. It's a US youth cultural thing. The younger sect of people in this country are more likely to identify with that informality of the brochure than they would be with the more traditional Japanese conservative brouchure.
And about test driving. Dealerships don't usually allow em on cars that are limited in supply or are expensive. This car is both limited and expensive compared to the other prducts that Mitsu is currently peddling on it's lots. Besides, they also know that most of us enthusiasts who are serious about our cars would NEVER buy a car that has been thrashed by a previous customer.

Another thing I forgot to bring up when going to Thousand Oaks Mitsubishi, was that the dealer said they will have a seperate car for test drives..... I doubt his words were true but he was assistant manager so i gave him credit enough to remember he said that. I am 19, so he didn't really seem anything against it, but he knows i am vip mitsubishi dealy. He said that probably would have some kind of credit check of some sort, to know that at least you are a contender to buy and not some punk kid.(no offense).
Guys, I hate to break it to you, but it's gonna be pretty tough to avoid having your EVO driven by other people at the dealership. Even if it doesn't happen before you pick it up the first time, sooner or later it will when you inevitably have to take it into the dealership service center for whatever.
Mechanics and technicians are notorious for taking joyrides in performance cars. It's every owner's worst nightmare, but unless you are buddies with the tech, you can pretty much count on it.
I've seen way too many threads in many different enthusiast forums to think otherwise. Just some food for thought.
BTW, I am absolutely against this behavior, and not endorsing it in any way. If I found out this happenned to one of my cars I would be PISSED
But I wouldn't be surprised either.
I've heard of people puting GPS devices in the trunk to counteract this. The easiest way is to stay on the lot and pay attention to your car though. Also stay on your tech's good side.

I'll have to swing by another dealership to see if there are any more left there??
I doubt there will be cars for test drives at the beginning since they are already spoken for. There are enough people out there who will buy it without a drive.
BTW, the brochure was fine.
way of having a "cool" brochure.

ps. either way, welcome aboard
Speaking of the
EVO site, I hope someone from this forum wins that EVO if it's not me. That would be cool.
It sucks when people win things they just don't appreciate. I'd rather see an enthusiast win!
