I took my car for test drive, had no rattles or annoying noises coming from the new gauge setup. Real solid look and feel.

Is there a solution for those of us who have the boost gauge in a different location already?

Sure, we can put together any package you need. Send me a PM for a price quote. Just let me know what 3 gauges you want. If it's M-F 9-5 you can also send an email to sales@42draftdesigns.com for a faster response

how does evryone like these gauges? I just got my evo @ the begining of the month and am looking foward to start modding it soon. I will need a boost gauge and was thinking of doing this 42design kit. How are stewart warner guages(are they realiable) I realy wanted to get defi guages but they are kinda pricey. But again I want something thats going to be reliable and that are gonna last. thanks

I also am wondering what people think after some time. Also how about install issues and some night shots. I really like the Defi guages but they are just too big and dont have that Oem look the SW gauges do.

I have the same setup and they look perfect. I've had the stewart warner boost gauge for 3 months now and it hasn't failed. I recently added the oil temp and pressure gauges along with the panel from 42 draft designs.

They have adaptors to fit both the senders using the 2 bungs by the oil filter. Just make sure you don't use the oil drain plug adaptor for the oil temp because it tends to read lower.

42 draft designs has everything that you need to complete the setup. Just ask them if you are unsure of something. Their customer service is excellent, shipping is fast and their product quality is excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to order from them again. Just wished they had more products for the evo.

Hmm, I really like the look of the SW gauges. How were they on the install? I assume you have to splice a dimmer connected wire three times since the gauges dont "daisy chain" like the Defis do. Any night photos?

The install is pretty straightforward. You can get more info from 42draft's website 42draftdesigns.com. You don't have to use stewart warners if you don't want to, the panel fits any 52mm gauge. Just need to make sure there is enough clearance between the gauges' bezels.

I spliced the wires from the cigarrette lighter. All you need is the dimmer, switched power(12V) and ground. I just chained all the common points from the gauges together so I just need to splice one point each.

The boost gauge install is similar to the defis while for the senders, you can just do a search here for the install guide.

You can see the night shots at their website too. They will look the same since I use their LEDs as well.

i installed the 42DraftDesigns VDO gauges and DIN plate and it looks great. The EGT has a bit of a bright spot from the red LED, but not too bad.

Has anyone installed this setup (SW) after removing the Mitsu OEM stuff? Can you just splice into the existing wires and tubing from the Mitsu Sport Meter kit after removal??

Tubing, maybe. The gauges we sell both have 1/8" NPT male threaded posts for tubing hookup. You'll need to find a fitting if the ones we use won't work. The OEM mitsubishi senders will not work. The power / ground wires will. I don't know about the lighting. If it's built-in, then no. If it's separate wires then it will work!

Heres a pic of my 42 gauge cluster. I color matched the gauge bezels to the gauge pod and dash. I was very pleased with fit and finish. The stewart warner gauges using the draft 42 white led's look great at night.

I only have boost and wideband AFR gauge, but I think I'm going to redo where I have them, they're on the stearing column right now. I'm also thinking of going with the Autometer Nexus boost and EGT (if they make it) instead of the ultra lite that I have now.

I have a set of these with the VDO gauges. It was a good install-kit contains almost everything you need. There was a great write-up on this site on installation-maybe on their website also. You do need a add-a circuit to complete.

I'm really happy with this setup-I don't compete so these work just fine for my use.
