Differences in EVO from 03-05
Differences in EVO from 03-05
What differences has Mitsu made in the Evo in the last 2 years. I do know they added the ACD but what year did they add it. Any technical or external differences please list by what year they made them. I was curious as I was planning to buy another EVO and I am trying to decide what year to buy and no I am not going to wait for the IX. I have not kept up with them since I owned my 03. Thanks
I think '03 was GSR only, with standard HID and optional sunroof. Leather was not available.
In '04 they introduced RS, and GSR has option package (leather+sound+roof+HID). The GSR are mechanically identical to '03.
In '05 they added MR, and ACD/AYC became standard to all Evos. Engine update includes larger turbo, more boost, and slight performance gain.

the '05 indeed does have ACD, but DOES NOT have AYC, and it also has a front limited slip differential, and 10.5T turbo housing, and boost is up to 20.5 from 19.5. HID are no longer standard on GSR's.
