edit - Updated, Karboy Hangers installed:

I installed the Kartboy hangers today and they definitely made a difference... the hangers + a bit of saving off a piece of metal just behind the cat took care of ALL the vibration / knocking sounds. i highly recommend the hangers.

just thought id update incase someone else came along with the same issues

So I installed the Buschur Racing 3" turboback today and I find that theres a slight knocking or vibration type of sound/feel coming from benieth the car. I cant really pinpoint where it is or what the sound is exactly (it actually kind of reminds me of the way helicopter blades sound rippnig thru the air)

the question is, will the kartboy hangers make much of a difference VS the stock ones... can i install these w/out a lift?

Thanks

They worked for me, but I have the APS full exaust system. The Kartboy hangers are stiffer and hold the exaust in place better than the stock ones with less vibration. Oh yea, I was able to install with just a floor jack.

I just installed my BR turboback the other day. I used the stock hangars and they worked fine. Hell me and my friend installed the exhaust with two jackstands.

That helicopter sound might be an exhaust leak? I went ahead and used a gasket on the outlet of the downpipe/inlet to the cat.

I installed my exhaust with just ramps, used the stock hangers. When does the rattle occur? Any certain RPM or speed? I use to have a rattle at 1.5k-2k RPM, it was the downpipe vibrating aganist the suspension tie bar, so I remove the bar and used 2 washers as spacers and put the bar back on. It gave it the clearance and the problem is solved

well i've got 3 spacers on the black bar that has the 3 screws, that cant be it

i shook the exhaust pipe from the rear bumper and there's defintely some metal on metal contact somwhere along the piping. i think ill invest in some kartboys, hopefully that works

edit: there's some hi vibrations during along the upper RPM range... its fine thru 1st and second gear. more of the rattling is on the highway and thru 3rd - 4th gear @ high RPM

thanks for the responses
