saving up for another car... fd rx7 or nsx?
let me know what you guys think. i like both the fd rx7 and the nsx. im leaning more towards the rx7 but i know they have alot of reliablity issues and i will need to be on top of things as far as maintaining the car. the nsx will probably be hell of a lot cheaper maintaining the car. what would you guys pick?
rx-7 would be a hell of a lot of fun though... =\ do you plan on modding it? new internals on the rx-7 would kind of restart the number of miles on the engine back to 0 rx-7 will cost you less.. for the same price as the nxs you could have one very very fast rx-7 with a rebuilt engine. that'll last you a while
Have you considered Supra? Faster than an RX-7.. massive amounts of power, bulletproof engine... it did better than the Rx-7 and nsx on the skidpad, quarter mile, everything... and runs for 20-25g's... or find a non-turbo for 12, and but a big single t78, t72, or something on it yourself

I like the NSX also as the best choice, the RX-7 would be fun, but also could be a lot of headaches. Only problem with the NSX is the money it cost to mod, sure you can get some bolt ons, but if your serious about making the NSX go seriously fast, than it's gonna cost serious money. Worth it though, if you can afford it.
I think it really all comes down to funding...
Having owned and highly modified an FD RX-7 and came one signature away from buying an NSX - let me give you one word of advice.
Check Insurance Differences. (ok it was 3 words)
When I had checked prices on insurance - it was going to be in a business' name as a summer only car, on a license that had ZERO points, and it was still close to $8,000 per year.
That my friend is an engine and turbo once a year for the FD... or whatever else you desire just as long as you keep the car in one piece.
I say FD... but that's jest my .02.

I'm gonna go with the FD. I'm not the expert on NSX's but seems as though the RX-7 has much more power potential for the money. For the cost of an NSX you could drop a 20b wankel...and the sky is the limit on what that thing can spool! Plus RX-7s look just as good imho.
You know, I've never understood why the NSX has an MSRP of close to 90K. The top end model only has 290 HP. Yeah, it has a nice interior and all that, but 90K? Am I missing something about this car, or is it just preposterously overpriced? I've always wondered about it.
