Now I want to know what is the &*#@$% problem with this car. I don't know you guys but I feel like is playing with me.

When Subaru released their WRX you could walk to the dealer and get one and did not had to worry about paying over MSRP. Now Mazda is coming out with the redesign rotary RX-8 and you could go to their site www.mazdausa.com and order one no seat. Mitsubishi hasn't even posted the price and options of the car on their web site and to be honest, I am getting a little tiered.

Why should i get and EVO any ways.
Well the EVO is awd so is my GSX. The EVO has 280hp so does my GSX, the EVO is a new car.... well I don't have a car payment on mine

I am the one with the money here, why should I be running after to give them my business when they are the one that should be running after me to get my money.

This is a perfect example of pure ignorance that I'm seeing on these boards lately. For one, you could not walk into a Subaru dealership and order a WRX. When I wanted one about a year ago, it was a 3-4 month wait on an order of one. They also were trying to charge me $2000 over sticker. This shows that it all has to depend on what dealer you are getting it through, as to what price you're going to pay. So, you can't use a general statement saying that you will pay over MSRP for an Evo.

The options for the Evo have been public a LONG time ago... ask any dealer, they've had the fog sheets listing the options for about 2 months now. Just because you haven't gone and checked it out, doesn't mean they don't exist.

Pricing... who has pricing on a car before it's available? Hardly anyone and if they do on any car, it typically changes a little as the car actually gets here. Not another good example.

You're comparing your possible 280hp GSX to an Evo? Are you insane? Any day of the week you want to put your possible 280hp GSX vs an Evo, I'll put a LOT of money on the Evo. HP isn't everything people... why do you think the Evo is still hinted at being faster than even the STI? This comparison has always bugged me.

It's almost getting to the point where most of the enthusiasts have left this board and now it is just filled with HP pipe smokers who believe 1/4 mile times and HP ratings is all there has to do with cars being fast.

 

Well first of all down here in South Florida from the beginning you could get a WRX with out much hazel.

2nd is not a possible 280hp GSX is a fact and don't think you are talking to a 16 year old kid who just got a GSX. I had my GSX for 5 years now and had worked on it from a simple air filter swap to a ported 3angle valve job head 1g intake big 16G blab bla bla.

3rd I am a big Mitsu fan is just frustrating that the car was release almost a month a go and you cant go to the dealer and ask for any info. Ohh and your comment on "who has the price on a car before is available" well like I said the RX8 is not available yet but if you want info on it just go to the Mazda web site, hell you can even pre order one right there.

One more thing "pipe smokers" never touch the stuff

I have to agree with GSXteme.... Houser Mitsu in Western Mass, doesn't know **** about the new Evo, I asked for a brochure and I was given the O-Z brochure. I like my car, but it's no *#$(ing evo. As far as WRX's we could get those easily, my brother got his with no difficulty on the release. My friend that works over and Bertera Mazda says that the Rx8 can be preordered online and at dealerships. No offense to Mitsu, but they are really shooting themselves in the foot with this IMO

 

It's gonna really blow we don't have ACD & AYC.. evoclub explains how it works for people on here that still think it is for rallying benefit only ....and yes it does work going by people I know in the UK...AYC is simular to an intelligent sway bar. I only hope the evo is such a popular model and sites like this can force hand on introducing these gizmos stateside....after all this is the most prosperous country in the world....to give the reason that these options would be too expensive for the US market evo IMO is lame.....come on do the right thing and give us a no holds barred supercar with 4 doors....
