Got Rear ended BULLS*&T
Got Rear ended BULLS*&T
So I was sitting perfectly still waiting to pull into traffic from a parking lot today and some kackA&^ in a corrolla rear ends me. At first it didn't look so bad but we exchanged insurance info (We had the same company and they immediately found him at fault) so I took it to the body shop and the frame was bent, rear bumper will probably have to be replaced. My question is there are two rubber vacuum hoses at the rear of the car on the driver side right behind the bumper the guy at the body shop had no idea what they are and neither do I. Anybody know what they might be?
sorry to hear that, I FINALLY Today, got my car driving like an evo again. Took a total of 2 months to get it perfect again. The girls who rear ended me, her insurance sucked (Nationwide, hope u dont got them) and it took them 2 weeks just for an estimate. Another week to get the car body repaired and new exhaust etc. Then car still had stuttering problems, took it to a retarded performance shop that didn't know anything. Basically for the diagnostic to see why the car was messing up, me, my friends, and helpful evo m guys helped me out to get my car working the way it used to, but much faster now with dynoflash! I hope you dont go through all the stress with your car getting rear ended as I did and lets cross our fingers and wish for your car to get repaired quicker than stupid shops around here.

Yeah, my Evo got rear ended and pulled straight on a Genesis. The rail under the trunk had to be cut and replaced, as well as the trunk floor un-wrinkled.
The lines you're most likely talking about are part of the evap lines for the fuel system. Let me guess, the plastic T was broken and the car crinkled around that hole in the frame rail? That's what happened to mine.
My car went into the shop on Tuesday (accident happened on a Sunday) and was in there for three weeks. It actually took that long. The shop I go to is great...it came out awesome. In fact, the new bumper cover actually matches the car better than stock.
It ended up being around $4500 to fix. Good thing I have unisured motorist coverage. I didn't have to pay a thing out of pocket.
