Exclamation Just spoke to a big dog at Mitsu!! (Long)

Well at first i didn't know what to say, i was just getting passed around from desk to desk where nobody would help me. So... i kept calling, and calling, until i reached a person who's desk was next to a (High up, reliable person) big dog, and i asked him, "DO YOU KNOW WHEN THE MITSUBISHI LANCER EVOLUTION IS COMING OUT", just like that. At first the guy said hold on and asked the guy next to him. He came back and said the end of March, beginning or Apirl I almost s*it my pants and said, WHAT THE HELL... Then i began to rant and rave about how many people i know that are going fu$king nuts trying to figure out when it was going to come out (meaning most of you guys) and how many people (i just thru this in trying to get his attention) are switching over and going for the STI. I didn't want to believe it and i wouldn't because that is way to f'en long to wait. I am older and i have a ton of patience but not for that long. Anyway the guy didn't say a word after i told him that. I then asked him are you kidding me, is this for sure, is this a 100% reliable source!?!? He then said no it was the guy next to me. So whats that mean? Well he said if you have time i will go and ask a really high reliable source about this because you sound pretty intrested, but under one condition your not allowed to ask me who i am asking. I said i have all the time in the world, please go and ask. Well after five-ten mins. he came back out of breath and said "i just talked to the main guy here and he said that they were coming out the 8th-10th of Feb" I asked him, "are you 100% sure". He said "this guy knows, and yes i am sure" Well i asked "is that just for the west coast, or all places." He said the west coast will get them first, then the east coast very soon after that. This is good info because it came from a main man at Mitsu. and that makes it a shorter time to wait. I hope this is good info, i thought it was. Hope you enjoy, sorry for the length! I also gave the evolutionm.net address to give to that guy and for him to check out and see the following this car has created. Maybe if they hear how the consumers, that are buying the car really feel, something more will happen.

ITs not a big deal whether this is right or wrong. The car will get here when it gets here. Does it really matter? We have all been waiting so long for it, a few days or even weeks does not phase me in the least.
Only when my dealer calls and says my EVO is being unloaded from the truck, will I actually believe any date anyone gives.

sorry, but i have to agree with pkim703. i am getting pretty pissed off about the slow delivery. ive had this car on order forever now. i have many parts for it already. right now im stuck driving around a stock dodge stealth tt. i demodded it back in october thinking it wouldnt be that long to drive it stock. let me tell you, its not fun having to keep driving a car around that used to run 11's, and now runs a 13.9 if lucky. im sick of this heavy car, ive had it forever, i want my damn evo! the only good thing thats coming out of waiting is this: my bank account i set up just for this evo has gained alot more interest than i thought it would, and now, along with paying out right, i can put the extra interest into the evo. more money... more power... always a plus. but im still irritated.

ummm...yeah...i can relate...back when i was waiting for my WRX, i demodded my RS eclipse (remove shift knob) which ran 20's, and after that probably ran in the 30's...

hmmm...i guess i can sympathize with someone that has a stock dodge stealth TT that's in the 13's...

well, its a bigger difference than what you may think. its not fun taking parts off a car that i worked on for so long. but the evo is worth it. just waiting is a pain in the ***.

Why are you, or anyone else going "----ing nuts" trying to figure out when the car will arrive in showrooms? We've only had actual Mitsubishi employees posting Expected Ship Dates from the Mitsubishi Diamond Link Model Locator for weeks now.

Just got back from my local dealer, I'm here in Orange County, socal, they are getting 7 of em in, and WILL NOT take deposits. Got my brochure that they held for me and told me they will call as soon as a tracking number/VIN is available when it's on the truck. They said it'll be here in a week to a week and a half.

Gezzus! You guys *****ing and whining about the date the EVO's arrive at dealerships sound like ******* 12 year olds. You're really going to worry about whether it gets here today or a month from now? 3 months from now?

Sorry but folks from have been extremely cool about keeping us in the loop on this forum with the inside information they have on when the EVO's are coming.

Have a and a smile and chill. Go play some Gran Turismo for a while or something.
