ECU flash

Hey guys, Just a quick question. I live in Southern Cali and I wanted to know if I would be fine just mailing my ECU to Vishnu and getting their flash vise driving all the way up there and getting it flashed and then tuned. I other words would the gains be noticable with the flash without getting the car tuned to the new flash? I only ask cause Vishnu is like 9 hours from me and I don't have the time to take off work to drive up there. Thanks guys.

Depends on what mods you have... if you only have the basic mods i.e. exhaust, intake, etc then a mail-in flash would be just fine. You also might want to check out DynoFlash (they have forums on EvoM)

Although I don't live the same distance from Vishnu as you do, I'd highly recomend a visit for a custom tune. I did and couldn't be happier with the results.

Mail in = generic, although great for what you get.
Custom tune = well, custom

Make a trip of it and I think you'll be very pleased with the results.

I think the custom tune will be better (well, it should be), but I'd agree with an evaluation of the current mods. If it's pretty standard stuff (or minimal), then the custom probably won't be THAT much better...but it will still be better. I'd also post this in the Vishnu section (if you're set on them) or give them a call to feel it out.

I just bought this car last month. It's completely stock. This is the first mod I was thinking of trying. Actually Im thinking of taking it up to Vishnu and getting the upgrade to 360.

If you're planning other upgrades, I'd hold off (since you'll just have to do it again.) If you're pretty happy with the car as it stands...then the flash is a good idea to get the most out of it with the least negative impact. Other mods can (not always..or even often) have some downsides people don't like. Just depends on what you want out of it.

for something basic a mail in flash works great, for more major mods a custom tune with a dyno is best. i'm dynoflashed and i am also adding a SAFC soon. go dynoflash you will be happy for the price you pay.
