Aftermarket parts for EVO VIII?

I want to get a head start on purchasing parts for this beast. What parts are available, someone said Greddy stuff, and an AEM stand alone... I have no clue. What about J-spec stuff? Is that out yet?

-Can i just buy parts for the EVO VII and it will bolt directly on?
-How about boost controllers, and more? Are most of them universal and apply to different applications?
-I need help because after the motor gets broken in well enough, i plan to bump the HP up.
- What stuff worked the best for the EVO VII? What parts are the ones to buy and not to buy?
- Any help PLEASE.

I think you should drive the car bone stock first, and THEN decide what you want to modify, IF you want to modify anything at all. That is the best way to proceed, IMHO.

boost controllers are all universal. some require minimal modification to apply it to your car. the stand alone from aem is over $2000... imho, not worth it. an intake from the evo 7 might work, but id wait for that. ive just bought universal stuff so far that doesnt need to be unique to the car.

I don't expect to see any aftermarket Evo 8 parts as of yet. Mitsu has been playing it's cards extremely close, and not really loaning out the 8 to anyone, for any purposes. Chances are there will be a while for R&D from most aftermarket companies to manufacture parts. Otherwise, the parts will be extremely expensive due to the need to import JDM parts from the Evo VII...

Thanks for the help guys
- So rt Turbo what universal stuff should i buy now? Anything, or just wait to see? You have a pretty nice list of stuff already in the works, although you do have sponsors to help that, how about titanium exhaust parts, intakes, etc... along with BOVs.

in my sig. are the parts i have now. my sponsor's shop have a mandrel pipe bender, we will make then turbo-back exhaust. hes ganna get me a titanium muffler for a bit under 200$. im not sure about the intake yet, il most likely buy one made for the car. if your ganna get a bov, make sure it can handle boost higher than 20psi without leaking. the greddy type s wont work... which is why i traded mine for a type r. it will most likely be the best for the evo because it has a nozzle set-up so the airflow can be diverted back into the intake so maf doesnt stall the car. dont get the hks, or an y other bov that cannot be diverted back into the intake, unless you get a stand-alone, or veinpressure controller from hks(vpc). the arc I or II will work also.

Better to wait. If the stuff doesn't fit, you'll have a tough time selling Evo VII parts. The safest thing to get are wheels for now.
