definitely can't wait for the shootouts.
If the Evo was designed to be driven on dirt, why does it come with UHP tires? The Evo is, for the most part, a road car. Granted, it is a rally car at heart, but it has been adjusted for more "mundane" purposes.

BURN!!!!!!!!
This is crap, everyone is expecting to see TT vs. Dynoflash at the shootout, i know me and all the guys that i'm coming there with are. Does somebody needs to dig up the call out thread???? I'm pretty sure we HAD a race to look forward to.
regardless if it was designed for snow, dirt, gravel, or tarmac... it was designed for any of those W/turns... but, once again, it does everything good... some ppl just like to work on it's last designed purpose, and build up that weakness for which it wasn't intended...
i dunno... i'm sure there's some guys building dragsturrs outta Elises too...

Everyone did read and understand this, correct?
For a thread that started out as a joke this one got a bunch of attention and crap flying!
Al would be a complete FOOL to drive his car here from CT and race it. The car makes 667 whp, the chances of something breaking in the driveline are faily high at that HP level. Attempting to make any points about it NOT being driven here is retarded. I wouldn't drive it either, not unless I was coming to show it instead of compete in it.
As a side note to that that EVO we just finished that made 624hp/579 ft lbs was NEVER to be driven on pump gas, EVER. It was a strictly tuned for 116 only. I was out of the country when it was picked up, they didn't bring a trailer. Drove from here back to NY with it on 94 octane and said they got 25 mpg on the way. Driving a car making big power on the street and doing it without beating on it is very easy to do. Gambling on doing it and racing it at an event is another thing.
In 1993 my father and I worked together in a steel mill. We both worked an 8 hour shift, got in my 1991 Eagle Talon, which back them was the fastest in the country running mid 12's and drove it to Ely, Nevada. We then competed in the Silver State Classic with it, took 3rd place and drove it STRAIGHT through without EVER shutting the engine off back home. The people there were amazed we would attempt to drive there, race it and drive it back.
TurboTrix's EVO is the fastest EVO in the USA. They have also blown up more than any other EVO in the USA. Al called them out on this race for a best out of 5 match. Al knows he is slower, he isn't running any nitrous either. I believe, although haven't confirmed it with Al, that he was banking on the fact that they wouldn't be able to make 5 passes. That would have made him the winner of a best of 5 match.

The only issue we've ever had with our car was head gasket problems, which is now solved. To come on a public forum and talk lies is bull****... I dont think you want to start slinging mudd, as you and your boy have done plenty to talk about. Your both so far up each others asses, i dont know where you start and he ends. Watch our evo videos from puerto rico , running back to back 9 sec passes all night without incident. Its not hard to run mid 10's , 11's and not hurt anything , but who wants that ? NOT ME ...
