Al would be a complete FOOL to drive his car here from CT and race it. The car makes 667 whp, the chances of something breaking in the driveline are faily high at that HP level. Attempting to make any points about it NOT being driven here is retarded. I wouldn't drive it either, not unless I was coming to show it instead of compete in it.

As a side note to that that EVO we just finished that made 624hp/579 ft lbs was NEVER to be driven on pump gas, EVER. It was a strictly tuned for 116 only. I was out of the country when it was picked up, they didn't bring a trailer. Drove from here back to NY with it on 94 octane and said they got 25 mpg on the way. Driving a car making big power on the street and doing it without beating on it is very easy to do. Gambling on doing it and racing it at an event is another thing.

In 1993 my father and I worked together in a steel mill. We both worked an 8 hour shift, got in my 1991 Eagle Talon, which back them was the fastest in the country running mid 12's and drove it to Ely, Nevada. We then competed in the Silver State Classic with it, took 3rd place and drove it STRAIGHT through without EVER shutting the engine off back home. The people there were amazed we would attempt to drive there, race it and drive it back.

TurboTrix's EVO is the fastest EVO in the USA. They have also blown up more than any other EVO in the USA. Al called them out on this race for a best out of 5 match. Al knows he is slower, he isn't running any nitrous either. I believe, although haven't confirmed it with Al, that he was banking on the fact that they wouldn't be able to make 5 passes. That would have made him the winner of a best of 5 match.

Exactly - I was caclulating that they would blow up after the 1st or 2nd pass. Thier bast time was a 9.7 but most of thier times are in the 10.1 range - which leaves them very close to my 10.3.

Sad we will never see that race now as they have backed out.

However, I am sure there will be a lot fo great evos there to race and have fun.

I hope everyone knows about the meet at the shop the next day !

Weekend went well for Al, he set a new personal best of 10.3 at 139 mph. Told me he was trying not to get to aggressive with the car as he wanted to save it for this coming week at Norwalk.

Mark,

I am sure you don't understand this but Al and I don't have our heads up each others asses. We are simply friends. Friends help each other out, support each other. As I said, I am sure you wouldn't understand that, as from what I can gather you have no friends.

Darn, the Dynoflash vs. TT was the only reason I was going. A big thanks goes out to TT to make me switch my plans. There has to be a race that all the shops can attend, somewhere in the middle of the US that way no one can ***** and moan that the drive is too long.

if you get all the shops to meet up... it would have to be like in texas or something.. where they all have to travel... don't forget about vishnu, road race engineering, brain storm... etc etc. which are from california...

wasn't there a tuner shoot out last year held @ willow springs international raceway?

Then what about all the NE guys, MO is in the center of the US. Why is it when CA people have to drive they whine about it?

Like i said in one of my posts a few months ago that the west coast wants it near them and the same for the east coast people, us in the central plains and the midwest are still waiting for you people to make up your damn minds.

Cuz in typical California fashion it takes about 1 hour to drive 10 miles....

I think it's a good thing to have these two competing like this. It brings out the competativeness, it makes both of them have to be on their toes and makes everyone have to get bigger and better, which means sooner or later they'll sell the stuff to get the rest of us, bigger and better.
