So about a week ago after a huge rain I notice my left front headlight was fogging up bad. I go to look things over and to my surprise it looks like someone took there foot and kicked the side of my headlight or there bumper made a nice wedge. By doing this it caused the corner of the headlight to be exposed and at the same time cause the seal to break so it was wide open for moisture. I was concerned about the moisture and had Mitsu look at it because I was worried that my HID would go bad and sure enough go turn the car on tonite and its dead. What pisses me off is I park my EVO in the farthest parking spots known to man so i'm still not sure how this happended.

So now I have to have the dent fixed and resurfaced, a new headlight housing new hid's, and a new front bumper. To beat that around the same day a semi truck kicked up a huge rock that ripped off a big chunk of paint on my hood and cracked my windshield something awful. Called the trucking company cause I got his number and they told me to get a life I could never prove it.

And finally bestbuy installed a sound system in my car and managed to fry my greddy TT, so in order for them to replace it I have to purchase a new one take them the receipt and wait for a check to come in the mail 4 to 6 weeks.

What a week with the EVO...

Sorry for the rant its just been a week and half of the EVO getting terrorized and it makes me upset. To put so much passion into something to have others destroy it sucks. Oh well atleast State Farm is stepping up and taking care of everything really fast for me.

Have you tried reporting the rock damage from the truck to your insurance company? You've given the truck company a chance, they laughed in your face, so why not see what insurance can do for you. It might be worth a shot, since insurance companies can sometimes put pressure on an offender.

ahh State Farm is fixing the headlight deal and the windshield. And they are going after the trucking company haha I would of just wished my car would of never been touched

I felt the same way when I hit a deer, but state farm hooked me up. I'm due for a windshield replacement too.

If you get a chance, let me know how the windshield replacement goes. I'd like some research material before I get it done.

You have to tell them our window is different from the lancer. They will then have to call up Mitsu and order the windshield from them. I think its $458.00 it will then take 7-10 days to get in. Just make sure you dont let them stick you with a lancer windshield cause our rearview mirror bracket is different. After that you are good to go I'm still waiting on mine to come in.

Is the mirror bracket the only thing that is different from the Lancer windshield? Or is the glass thinner also? (I've heard yes and no on this)

How the hell did Best Buy fry your TT installing a stereo?

 

Cabo: I cant not confirm the weight but Mitsu does list them as a different part number.

mboza79: Because the installer thought it would be fun the one second I run out of the install bay to the store area to get something to drink and stretch out my legs to crank my new stereo on full blast. The problem with this is I have a mini battery and he ended up killing it. So to hide his mistake he tried to jump it while I was out only for me to walk in with jumper cables hooked to my car. When they tried to jump it that is when the TT got fried.
