Help!: boost reading -0.5 kpa in idle..

it reads -0.5 kpa when my car is on idle...whats going on? is this normal? i have blitz blm gauge... i remember seeing someone else had the same problem but i can't seem to find it...help!!

nvm.... i was told its normal...just finish installing gauge..and thought that was a little weird.. dumb me

boost leak..maybe your vacuum line came off your boost gauge.

I know the what those reading with kpa come out to psi, but at idle I think my car is at about -15 - 17 psi vacumn

vaccum at idle is normal. The degree of vaccum depends on your BOV and other upgrades. Even if you rev at idle, if your car is stock or close to stock, you won't even read boost. If you get boost from idle revs...god help us all, you must make so much power it's sickening.


I've seen a twin-turbo 350z make boost on a idle rev.

i make boost on idle revs, but its not an insane amount, but i def hit over 0psi, and i think a stock evo can do the same.

nope..stock can't....at least mine didn't...unless my car is seriously screwed up, man, I should start a thread about this...your scaring me.
