Some interesting questions...

i just have a few questions here for ya guys...

1. How BAD would this turn out... 2003 Evo 8 w/ ACT clutch and regular bolt ons (intake, exh, mbc, bov) do against a 2005 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V, well obviously i know the evo will eat it but im tryna imagine how bad it would be. PS: Evo no launch.

2. I have a Turbotimer, and my passengers always get shocked when they get out (front and rear), is this TT related?

3. Is 45,000 miles for a 03 evo a lot?

4. Can the evo make it to 100,000 like a regular jap car?

5. What are your top 3 performance companies

mine are:
Mines
HKS
Jun

1. The spec-v is pretty quick, when I had just a cat-back my friend hung with me pretty good on the highway with his bolt-ons.
2. Same $hit happends to me, i never thought about the TT though.. good possibality.
3. High, but not astronomical.
4. I'd have to agree with your choices, even though i don't have mines/jun products, still awesome products.

1. modded evo w/ these mods(about 260 whp) against stock spec-v(?maybe 150whp), not even close. evo about 13.0-13.5 quarte mile time(depending on driver), spec-v maybe 15.0-15.5.
2. im not sure what the question is.
3.yes, about 20000-25000 a year, is alot especially for a high performce car like the evo.
4. yes as long as its well maintained.

1. I had destroyed a friends Spec V, stock for stock.
2. You know I have the same problem although I cant remember if it happened before i installed my TT.
3. Yeah, I think the national average is 14k a year.
4. I'd hope so, I think some guy posted he was at 70k miles with no problems.

It's the micro fiber that creates so much static electricity build-up... I have a micro fiber couch, and my door to the room shocks me every time too. (That "suede" is micro fiber, incase you didn't know)

but what i dont get is, if it really is the micro fiber, why does it only occur on the passenger side of the car? both front and rear passenger sides, but NOT the driver sides front and back? it shocks all my passengers pretty much 97% of the time, they step outta the car

1. Shouldn't even be asking this. I beat one easily in my auto IS300, which is pretty slow. He revved at me at a red light, so I gave it all i had and won easily. 1 or 2 car lenghts up to about 60mph. He was manual and spent most of 1st and 2nd spinning. I had my window open just to listen...it was amusing. My car is RWD with 215hp, but I know how to launch without ripping my tires off.

2. My wife gets shocked constantly when getting out of my Evo. I can't remember if it happens to me or not.

2. ? i dont think tt though if it is something isnt right
3. not really most ive heard of though (hows everything holding up) finally someone who actually drives their evo
4. as long as you dont dog the **** out of it and keep up with the maintance it should be fine i had a gsx with well over 100gs on it

1. SE-R V....don't they run 1/4 in like 14.8s?

2. wtf? I'm going to have to try it out myself, never sat in the back of my own car before.

3. I average 12k a year, I would prefer 10k a year if I was shopping for any used car. But if you're keeping the car for the rest of your life, who cares?

4. I sure hope so...I plan on keeping mine forever.

(Nismo's got to be the best factory tuner...TRD is one of the worse, though I'm a huge Toyota fan.)

all of my seats shock me, whether im in the front or back, passenger side or driver's side. Just make sure when youre at a gas station that you touch the frame of the car first. I got really lucky once, i went to take the gas nozzle out of my car, and i hadnt touched the frame of my car, so when i touched the nozzle it shocked it....however, nothing happened.

u guys should really sit in the backseat of your car, funny story, my gf's mom has known the evo since i first got it. She thinks its just a problem child cuz im always upgrading or working on it, so she thinks EVERYTIME i work on it, something broke, so one day, she goes for a ride in my car and shes impressed on how it rides and how smooth it is throughout the turns, next she needs some of her stuff loaded out of her Tundra with a camper, and to her surprise, all that stuff fits in my evo's trunk and she's impressed with how roomy the trunk is, then of course, the backseat amazes ANYONE who gets into my car, theyre like WOW this car looks sooo small from the outside. You have soooo much leg room in that car. i've sat in the back of an STi and that thing has about 1/2 the legroom of an evo and the ****test seats ever, oh and their trunk weighs like 3x as much as the evos.

There's only good legroom in the back if the front passengers are shrimps. When I'm in the driver's seat, no one can sit behind me comfortably.

As long as you maintain your car, you shouldnt have to even think about how long your car will last. Most 1g DSMs have over 200,000 miles on them by now and are still runnning just fine. I had a 90 talon with about 400 hp that I drove daily and it had 190,000 miles on it. I think the whole thing about cars only lasting to 100,000 is a thing of the past. (on any brand really)
