Hmm....there seems to be a cloverleaf on the intake cam gear.... Interesting....

Where did ya find that picture? Is there a bigger version of it?

I suspected the cloverleaf too, but why doesnt the exhaust cam have the leaf on it?

Isn't that what Mivec refers to....except on the Evo it will only be on the Intake side?

More than likely a control wire is is on the backside of that control box and runs along the head to the engine wiring harness.

I suspected the cloverleaf too, but why doesnt the exhaust cam have the leaf on it?
The exhaust cam doesn't have it because there is no variable cam timing on the exhaust cam.
