Damn that sucks. But were u actually 'street racing' as in going 20-30+ mph over the limit or were u doing one of those 2 cars stopped at a red light and then both accelerate from the light up to the speed limit (maybe alittle over) and then slow down?

Thats all I do, is a friend and I will be stopped at a light then when it changes to green we will take off and see who pulls away until we get to the speed limit, and thats it.

Hopfully cops don't consider that 'street racing' for the fact that we don't get much over the speed limit.

It can be classified as racing, and you can get several other tickets for doing that even if you dont speed.

Unfortunately you don't have to exceed the speed limit to be considered racing, just competing with another driver for position is sufficient in some states.

nowadays, the term street racing is overused. racing for money or slips is street racing, someimes i do a little 'spirited driving'l, and ther happens to be someone behind trying to keep up!

I take hard turns on and off ramps and that makes me smile but there is no way that I am going crazy fast 80~90 miles on small streets. I find myself speeding in he R32 but it's not as flashy as the EVO so no worries there.

Good luck
thats smart driving , but the cops probably know that the r32 is slow. thats why they dont pull you over

The guy who suggested buying a Metro is right - at last half way.

Buy a Metro or other no-go econobox for your day-to-day driving and keep the Evo for track days..
