Yes we are using the AEM C2dI, you can't use the MSD SS coils because the c2di is a cdi ignition and the blaster ss coils aren't. these msd coils we used are cdi type and only have one plug outlet, you're seeing four seperate coils in that picture.

we actually used the blaster ss coil on another project we did, 63 mini turbo

Thanks for the responses!

My question exactly! Is there a stock or mini battery hiding under those coils?

The Battery was relocated to the drunk and we installed it in a Moroso Battery Box. here is the picture of the drunk. Also the front Ignition plate has Terminals for Quick Jump start if needed.

I have not really thought about selling this but we might work something out. Just keep in mind that this is a custom product so their will be no warrantie if i decide to sell.

People have run 9 seconds on the stock DSM 10 year old ignition. What makes you think the Evo ignition is any weaker?

I have seen at the track a couple Evo's running BIG boost (like 30PSI on race gas) and have them missing and cutting out up top. Ask Rollaway in fact. Both these members replaced teh system with a coil on plug igniton, 100% cured the problem. It's GOTTA aid in gas milage and spoolup too if only minimal. Man I wan't one for sure

We're used to that. Remember we are owners of Mitsubishi products! LOL

Think about it and either pm me or post your thoughts on selling.

I never said it was Weaker but if you want to tune the car better at higher boost levels you should consider installing any upgrade ignition system. That's why people just add MSD Ignition Boxes or HKS OR AEM CD2I. I have decided to add the AEM plus a Single Coli system to get better spark at the Top which I will controling it AEM EMS.

Would effect spoolup VERY VERY minimally, and gas mileage, changing out the stock plugs would give you more gain.

I would only use a system like that in a race only configuration. 95% of the Evo population would not gain anything worth the cost. Unless you got money to spend, but it wouldn't be worth the cost or hassle.

Better Throttle response, possibly more power as you burn more fuel. I mean it is not a crazy mod to GAIN power but sure as hell prevents you from losing it.

I guess this means if I do decide to sell them you're not gonna buy one?
