Custom Ignition System
I never said it wasn't a nice piece. The point is that if you aren't a sponsor, someone with a sponsor, or have lots of money to waste, you wont need one to make power. The stock ignition is good. Very good. A custom ignition like that would be $$$ So if anyone wants a custom ignition be my guess. There are better things to spend money on that actually show some gains.
Just dont pull the wool over anyones eyes to try to make money. Advertise your product as something for hard core racing. Street machines wont be likely to benefit from it. Like I said I hate to see people lose money.

Likewise, you don't know that it will benefit. My option doesn't involve $$$
All I'm saying is on a street machine the very small gains are not worth the money a custom ignition would be worth, and that the stock ignition is ready to take anything you throw at it on the street. Street machines meaning those of us that drive our cars everyday, and not just to the track.
Nice ignition though, dont get me wrong. But its definately not for everyone.

Trust me, as soon as you start running colder plugs, higher boost, you want to open your gap up as much as possible.. In order to do that you need higher output ignition.. Otherwise you get incomplete combustion, which ran result in your AFR's being off and inconsistent, and high EGT's..
This applies to any higher than stock boost application, but the benefit is minimal until you hit 23+ PSI.. Also, incomplete combustion and spark quench are lost horsepower..
People always talk about the usefulness of performance.. But your also forgetting improved idle with colder plugs, engine starts faster, especially in cold weather, and crisper throttle response...

Thats not enough gain to warrant forking over $$$ for a custom ignition, not on a street car
DUDE just STFU, you are just spewing hatred and arguing now and jumping on people for no reason. Don't want one? Don't buy it but I can GUARANTEE you will feel a result from this mod.

I'll get back to you on the imp. The coils aren't run either parr or ser, we used the c2di four channel box and four coil outputs from the aem ems for a true sequential ignition.

SO... Before you ***um I'm trying to sell anything, maybe you should get your facts straight.
Ray...
Nice.. I was going to run all 4 C2DI channels in a similar manner, but gang the trigger from the ECU to two input channels.. this way each signal triggers two C2DI channels so you always got a full discharge for both coils at once.. right now I have it in parallel since I'm using motorcycle CDI coils..
