Friends and EVO
You should be happy for your friend, espescially if he's a good friend like you say. I have a buddy at work that recently purchased a silver 05' after just seeing mine. It's awesome seeing two EVO's cruising around whenever we leave work. 
Be a good friend and don't steer him in the wrong direction if you think the Evo is the better car. Either way both cars are great. Don't get a jealousy complex because he wants and Evo. It's cool to have other Evo drivers around to get together and BS about the car and go on drives. So like everyone else said stop "hating"

Haha yeah Ive been thinking about it more, actually I think it would be pretty cool if he got an EVO, Id have someone to cruise with and terrorize V8s 
He is going to check out a white STi today and hopefully drive it. I personally chose the EVO over the STi because I was a DSM guy and my roots lied within the 4G63, and also, I love the styling of the EVO.

I want one of my firends to get an Evo so bad even if its a used one. I think it would be sweet both having Evo's seeing what different parts do etc... I have an 05 RS which are very hard to find because there are only 400 built for 05 so he would probably end up getting a GSR.
