I am trying to get the Vortex Generator for my 03 Tarmac Evo. My question do the Vortex Generator get painted to match the color of the car or are they all the same color (Eisen gray)?

 

The IX's VG is color matched. The VIII MR's VG is not.

 

yea the MR VIII's are carbon fiber

 

I thought only the FQ400 came in CF

 

All the VGs I've seen looked like they were plastic.

 

my bad, they are plastic, i got confused because i saw the carbon ones on lancershop.com

 

the guy was right about the 9s bein color matched... and theyre are cf ones.. the stock ones are plastic. cf ones are a couple hundred more. i have one.

 

Either way, you still CAN paint them to match if you wanted too...shouldn't cost that much (Less than $100 I'd think). I had the two side vents on my old Rx7 painted by a local shop and he only charged $60. It'll vary between every shop, but I'd say the amount of material there is about the same as with the VG (as far as amount of paint needed and labor time)
