Whomever gets theirs first needs to go visit the other one, I think.

 

I have three deposits down. First was placed back in october. The sales manager would only promise to sell the car at fair market value, but, added that her dealership group has never sold above sticker. I went to the LA autoshow and live in Detroit and saw it here, needless to say I was getting a little anxious to get my car. So, my dealership claims they have no information and its the third week of january. I decided to call some other local dealers to see what they say. First one I call(Moran Mitsubishi, Southfield, MI.) tells me they're getting five cars and that three are still available...at five grand over sticker. After telling him no thanks, I called Fox Automotive in Grand Rapids, MI. They told me they were getting two cars in early march, but, both had deposits. He then agreed to sell me their third car at sticker when available(???).
At this point I'm starting to believe that the dealership where my initial deposit is at is not getting first(any?) allocation since they have no info and, by now, numerous people have posted about their allocations.
On 1-24-03 put down my second deposit at Fox.
2-1-03 went to another local dealer(Ricci Mitsubishi) to get a brochure and asked about their evo's. Was informed that they had one deposit down and that the guy didn't want to pay full sticker(huh?). He also said they were getting a second car a month after the first. Agreed to sell me this car at sticker and even said i could pick color and options(imagine that). Chose blue, big wing, no sunroof.
All are refundable and all dealers know that i'm going to buy from whoever can get me the car first at sticker.

I'm pretty sure the 2nd allocation was preselected by .

In another works for example my dealership.
1st allocation red and yellow.
2nd allocation white.

So for the 3rd allocation ppl are able to pick? Finally! That is the way it should at the launch. Sort of what Subaru did with the WRX when it first arrive. Oh well. Originally I've wanted red but now i'm stuck with 35lbs. Oh i mean sunroof.

 

1st in line (first alottment of two cars), Lightning Yellow, CF wing, Sunroof. Delivery in early to mid March?
Almost forgot...priced @ MSRP in writing!

 

At my dealer, they were able to choose cars in the second allocation.

 

Well i have the choice of any color i want @ one dealer @ MSRP
Another state i have blue with carbon wing and sunroof @MSRP
Another state i have blue with carbon wing and no sunroof@MSRP
Another state i have yellow with carbon wing and sunrrof@ MSRP
Another state i have yellow with carbon wing an no sunroof@MSRP
Pretty much any color and option i want @ MSRP U might think i'm hogging butt i've been doing my calling around.
So it comes down to I think I'm going with the blue carbon wing and NO sunroof. That leaves me with about 10 more @ MSPR let me know if anybody is having trouble finding one @ MSPR if u your willing to traveling i can get it for u in writing
All these car are in the FIRST ALLOTMENT Beginning of march

 

Got a deposit on a lighting yellow with the big wing and a sunroof. Can't wait till the first allocation to arrive

Ok.. I'm cheating a little but I need to Post!

I have a deposit down on a Yellow, CF Spoiler, Sunroof, JDM full spec version from Evolution Imports.

I was told it would be ready in early April.

Can't wait!

 

First deposit, dealer in Kansas.

Yellow, No sunroof, high spoiler. Supposedly secured with my name on it.

Supposedly shipping approx 03/March for arrival (I hope) mid-to-late March.

 

2k deposite on Yellow, big wing, no sunroof. 1st allotment, whenever that happens to make its way over here.

 

Silver sunroof big wing, it can't get here soon enough

 

1st in line for silver, big wing, no sunroof. Dealer *still* says he has no info (as of a few weeks ago) as to estimated shipping date, etc.

 

I have a deposit for a yellow, no sunroof, at MSRP, but I also have a deposit for a blue STi at MSRP, and the way things are going, I might get the Subie. If the Mitsu does come out before the details on the STi, I will roll over my deposit to the next shipment, so I will know the details on both cars before I buy.

 

I have $500 down on a silver with cf wing no sun.
Paying sticker.
Pushed back to third week in March.
Not surprised.
First car in Buffalo NY area.
Can't wait to get on those winding roads
