ARP head studs ($100)... that's all the build needed really... and the stock bottom will hold 500whp... that's the 4G63 by the way... not sure what the 4G68 will hold

Dave Buschur and many others are making 400 wheel HP and up on the stock head bolts. As long as the tune is correct and you don't have any detonation I see no reason more isn't possible on a bone stock motor. I have read about 550+ wheel HP on the stock block with ARP head studs and rod bolts.

wow, talk about off topic now...lol

anyways..

here's the thing 4g63, I admit I'm really new to...always been a Toyota and Nissan guy. There are massive ppl who safely put 400 to500 hp to their 4g and I think that's safe. But I really do trust the 3S-GTE and SR20DET motors more than 4G but that's only b/c the Evo's my first 4G i've ever owned...so please don't flame..

They can hold about 350hp without a problem, anything larger than that causes the engine to die in various ways. The 4G63 is a much stronger engine, chalk it up to experience or whatever.
