Holy ****!! Mits has indeed lost their minds!!! No wonder it took so long for the EVO to get here in the first place!!! You can get 90% of all these options for 1/3 of the price in the aftermarket world!! OH MY GOD BECKY, LOOK AT HER BUTT!! I'm totally freaking out now...

I think those prices are about on a par with the same kind of stuff from any (import) dealer parts dept (ie over-priced). I wonder if the prices include installation (although I guess installation of a shift knob isn't that hard
)
Personally, I like the stock shift knob better anyway, but I'm tempted by the pedals and the brake air guide - those prices aren't too far over what you'd pay for similar (decent quality) aftermarket items - and they're custom fit as opposed to generic.
The gauges (sorry, "sport meters"
) though - very expensive.

$400 freaking dollars for a strut brace? The damn Cusco carbon ones are only like $220 or something. Just order the parts from Conicelli partznet.com. They should have discount prices on all that stuff. Those "brake guides" are just two pieces of plastic and two bolts apiece (if they're like the 7's).
Just get some damn aftermarket gauges. They'll be easier to see and will probably look better anyway.

OH God, but NOTHING'S gonna account for the price of the front and rear strut-braces. Those were the things I most seriously dropped my jaw at. Side brake grip? Assuming, that's the E-brake grip. Didn't even know that was an option. What's the scuff plate cover? Something that fits over the door jams?
Yeah, I think the scuff plate is to stop the door sills getting all messed up. Or you could just get in carefully.
As for the brake guides, well if they're just bits of plastic and some bolts, I'll guess I'll make my own out of Mountain Dew bottles and get the hardware from Home Depot.
Assuming the gauges are available separately (I mean, they'll be Mitsu parts with part numbers like everything else) they might be worth having, depending on what's on the other end (senders etc). But I dunno what's already out there for the VII - presumably most of what fits that will fit the VIII.
Anyone know if there's a discount Mitsubishi OEM parts supplier in the same vein as http://www.handa-accessories.com or http://www.parts4vws.com?
