bends at the front? No cross-bars? Harness bar too low? No rear stays?

You think that is a good jungle gym? How do you think that will protect you in a crash? There is NO cross bracing AT ALL!

Sorry but I am just trying to warn you of the potential safety hazard you now have surrounding you everytime you drive your car.

Have you talked to a track event (scca, nasa, etc) person about this yet?

were did you see the finished photos? the ones he posted he said it wasnt done yet... someone also already stated that he needed a cross bar and thats why he said it isnt done yet in those pics he posted....

You obviously have no clue about safety regs and people here have been trying to help...and you won't be laughing so hard when your car fails tech. The MINIMUM requirements for an SCCA cage is a 6-point design:

1) Main hoop with cross bar (runs diagonally from top of driver's head to passenger's side floor) and harness bar at appropriate height. These are 2-points.

2) Back stays extending from the upper corners of the main hoop straight back to the rear chassis. These are another 2-points.

3) Forward bars with a SINGLE bend (not an S-curve!) attached to the front chassis. These are the last 2-points. And the upper "halo" bar should be far from the driver's head. Side impact beams from the main hoop to the front bars is up to you.

This cage has NO rear stays. That alone makes the car ILLEGAL for ANY motorsports sanctioning body. In other words, this is just a 4-point "cage." Then, there is NO diagonal bar. Again, this alone makes the cage illegal. Then, the harness bar is too low. This will not be allowed by SCCA. The front bars have that retarded s-curve. Again...this alone would fail tech. Finally, the halo bar is sitting BEHIND the visors...right on top of the driver's head! This makes no sense. The halo bar should be at the front end just behind the windshield. Literally EVERY element of this cage is illegal.

Honestly, this so-called "cage" is a deathtrap. It looks like it's been DESIGNED to fold in an impact. I organize events for the BMW Club of Canada and I'm an instructor with MANY organizations (PCA, BMW CCA, BMW CC, Saab club, Audi Club, etc. etc.). This cage is MORE dangerous than having NO cage. The car will never be allowed on the track. I only hope that you can recover your money. You've been ripped off.
