First mods

I have $1000 to spend. My car is a bone stock 2005 EVO VIII with no options. Currently my budget is somewhat limited but i want to boost my cars performance without sacrificing any drivability. What parts do you recommend for me?

I'd get a boost gauge and a ss clutch line. Bleed the brakes with superblue or motul and ss brake lines. Then put the rest down on the payment and enjoy the car in stock form and wait to get serious with the mods after you've paid the car off.

Best bang for your buck imho - new exhaust (cat back or axel back), and ecu reflash. Stock muffler is quite restrictive, and there's lots to be gained with a good flash. I'm partial to Works, but there's many good choices out there...

as for the thread starter I would suggest you find a shop that will mandrel bend you a 3inch turbo back then spend the rest on a custom dynoflash with the boost increased to 20 psi without a boost cont.

Take a look at my sig, with the exception of the ecutek flash I got all my mods for around $1500. Save $500 more and do it all at once!

With 800 dollars I got a Helix TB and havent Looked back

except you could buy an exhaust cutout and have your muffler shop create you a downpipe and install the Cutout and save big $$ and be able to switch from loud to stock with a flip of a switch! just my opinion
