Rim of the World Rally May 6-7 (Fri-Sat)
Go to: www.rimoftheworldrally.com for a great time in Lancaster, CA this Fri and Sat. About 70 minutes North of LA right off HWY 14. You can't miss the Fairgrounds stadium as it's practically on the highway.
This is as close as you can get to pseudo "World Rally Car" type competition in the good old USA.
This is a Sports Car Club of America National event and there is an autocross, car show and great spectator action at the Fairgrounds where there will be side by side special stage rally action in addition to the rally stages in the Angeles National Forest. Subaru is the sponsor. You LA guys have NO reason to miss this.
I P-R-O-M-I-S-E you it's the best!

Should be a few, this is what I thought of off the top of my head...
George Plesek should be there in his EVO 6.5.
Probably Tim Patterson and Amy Beberbanzo each in their brand new 05 8's.
Likely Carl Jardeval in his very quick Evo 4.
YMMV,
Greg

how much of the racing do you get to see? based on what it says on the website it sounds like there is really only one viewing location.....
still would be cool to check it out and would be a nice drive from the Bay Area. though i'd be worried about the jerks who like to mess up/steal stuff from cars being there too.

Yep, haters are everywhere but I believe it is worth the risk. I think you have a better chance of damage at the movie theater than here. Hopefully, most everyone here is a car lover and not a hater. Effin' haters.
