Interesting about Vivid
wasnt going to buy from them anyways... bad experience but i had no idea that they were doing this kind of stuff (agency power, etc)
now i will definitely never buy anything from them and i will be sure to let my friends know about this as well

There are way too many good vendors (Gruppe-S, Lancer Shop, RallySport Direct...) and tuners (Buschur, AMS, Vishnu...) who provide great customer service, back up their products, and actually support and contribute to the community in a positive way to even pay attention to some vendor who treats customers poorly. I haven't purchased anything from them, and now I never will. Even if only a third of the horror stories on Evom and Nasioc are true, it's way too many. I've had great experiences with Buschur and Gruppe-S and I'm sticking with them.

yeah, I ordered a set of TEINS Flex suspension and the box was all beat up, the suspension scratched from hitting each other and the anti rust can was busted open so the anti rust was all over the inside of the box. They did give me some wrinkled up stickers though. :\ I figured, the suspension is bound to get dirty and beat up so I didn't deal with the headache of calling them.

i know what they do,but people(even the ones that know) still continue to buy from them.just because you & some others have had a problem,does not mean this thread nor any other thread is going to stop people from buying from them.i myself have brought items from them,w/o any problems at all.vivid racing is going no where but up.there one of the biggest,and most money making companies in the U.S.there doing something right,even if you guys think there selling used partsit's as simple as this.JUST DONT BUY FROM THEM IF YOU THINK THEY SUCK
well after hearing this, i'll just stick with shopping at lancer shop and a few other places i like. i have no time for doing this type of stuff and calling california and all that BS.
I say they are ok because I have had no problems with them! All i have to say is ask for Jackie and go from there! If he is not available call back or leave your info! My friend has never had any probs before with them either! I bet you all love lancershop because there is nothing like getting ebay parts that is listed using a companies name that does not even exists!

Add me to the list. I've been screwed over by them 4 different times. They've lied about product defects to me in order to make a sale. I also have heard that all their Agency power prodcuts are made in China.

I ordered brackets for my Sparco's and a BOV from them a long time ago and it took over a month and a half to get it and we had to call them atleast twice a week and they kept BSing us that oh it got sent to the wrong address they had to wait for it to come back to Vivid before they can send it back out again. Then it wasn't in stock and it was on back order. Then finally we said we wanted it shipped overnight because they screwed up and we've been waiting 3-4 weeks by this time and they said they couldn't send it overnight to us so we waited 10 more days and it didn't show up. Finally called them back and said we were calling the better business bureau and it showed up on my porch the next day (even though they couldn't overnight it..hmm). sorry it's so long but I'm posting another one next so I hope you don't care.

Not only does Vivid have poor service but they don't have any of the items in stock that they claim. They have a tiny garage filled with stuff and they drop ship everything. Suuure they'll probably claim they have a warehouse somewhere but I doubt that. Even if they do they still don't have most of what they claim to carry. They're a dropshipper for all the companies. Plus walk in there you'll see they don't even have a store front and they have a small garage and they make you wait at the front door for 15 minutes until they finally decide to help you out.
To top if off Dan is a terrible business guy over on their own forums he argues with forum users and threatens to shut down the forum... good one because shutting down the forum would hurt forum users more than Vivid. That's pure genious I encourage that to happen. Also, he likes to argue with his top forum users as well who know more about Subaru's and Evo's than he does. One example is one of the users asked which exhaust would be best and Dan says 2.5" piping is best for a WRX. Another forum user that is very very knowledgable (sp?) with WRX's explained no that 3" would be better and posted Dyno charts to back his point up. Dan got mad called the user an idiot and temporarily banned him. All because he was helping another user by telling him Dan was wrong and to not buy the wrong part. What a great business guy!!!! I would post the link to this but Dan deleted it ( I wonder why? ooh yeah that's right he got OWNED)
I've said since the day I recieved terrible service from them that I would never buy another part from them and I stick with those comments. Some of you who have had LUCK with getting your products in a quick amount of time have had just that LUCK. Once again sorry about this being so long.
