I like the FrankenEvolution...

My dream Evolution body styling would the EVO VII the way it is now, but with a little make over, Take the EVO VII front bumper and hood off, and put the EVO V hood and front bumper back on, that would kick ***.

I consider the big fogs (though a little smaller would be fine too)
and rear wings and hood vents as EVO's exterior signature...

I would like to see mitsu bring back the fogs (albeit a subtler one from
pre-gen EVOs) on EVO8

From: houston tx,
come to think of it, the only part of the car anyone is going to see are the taillights (which look alot better on the 7 imho), so the front styling doesn't even matter. maybe mitsu was thinking the same thing...

not *every* honda driver is a moron...

i drive a 2000 civic si, and i hate riceboys just as much as you guys.
i've been hording my cash for the past year or so, saving up to get my engine all built up... had plans for a nice supercharger, new pistons, cams, valvetrain, ecu, all that fun stuff. would've been a nice little civic.

but it's idiot riceboys like the ones you guys are talking about that are making me ditch the honda and grab an evo vii next year... i've got about $10,000 saved up, and with the trade-in, i'll have it paid off in a year =D

don't get me wrong, i love my civic, it's fun, it's quick, it's just an absolute blast to drive... but god dammit, all these idiot riceboys make me ashamed to drive a honda =\

ah well. the lancer 'll be better for auto-x'ing anyway =)

out!

Yeah i drive a 00 honda civic si mid to high 13 sec car. I also was planning on adding on a vortch supercharger but since the offical news on the evo later civic it's time for a change. I will still be keeping my civic but the evo will be the king in my yard. Anyway can't wait for the evo to start modding it out. Already have mine bought for 10% over invoice and no state tax i'm so lucky

Yup. I have a '00 Integra Type-R myself. What can I say? It gets good gas mileage if nothing else.

Why waste $10K of your own money when you can use somebody else's money (ie. the bank's)? Sure, you pay them maybe 7% for financing (or maybe 0% nowadays!), but your money can be earning you soooohoho much more on the stock market, or some other aggressive investment strategy. The point is a lot of well-heeled people often finance big ticket items, even if they can afford to pay for them outright with cash Good luck with your decision!

At any rate, I really loath the dinner-plate fog driving lights as well. They're a throwback to the 80's and are, under most circumstances, completely unnecessary with modern lighting technologies. Kind of makes me wonder if Mitsubishi is going to include a "Choke" switch in the Evo VIII

The foglights are there for a reason. Not all of you might know that the evos up to the 6 were homologated for Gr. A rallying where big driving lights come in very handy. They aren't places for foglights, really although I think it's illegal to fit driving lights that low and people only put fogs there. Then some people just have driving lights fitted there an disconnect them when the car needs to pass some test, *wink* , *wink*.....

So, if a French newspaper has a picture of a guy getting arrested, and in handcuffs, the editor will go to jail?

Those Frenchy's are strange folk...

I heard if you go to a McDonald's in France, they don't have Quarter Pounders... They call them "Royale with Cheese"
