For those who doubted warranty...
The service you get often depends on how much clout you have with the dealer. The more busness you do the more valuable you are as a customer. I have purchased four cars (all over 25k) from my dealer since "00" . All I had to do to get "we don't think it will be covered? to "yes sir well will get it done right away" was a alittle walk down the corridor to the GMs office. I have had zero problems getting what I ask for on my Evo. I never argue, I just remind them that we have a contract and hold them to it.
BTW concerning car repairs:
In CA you do not have to pay for anything you do not agree to in advance. This has been the case for over 30 years. As a former service manager myself I can tell you the consumer is well protected in these situations.
