I was under the hood of the Evo and squeezing my hand out of a tight spot when the damn thing came off...It's behind the engine somewhere, didn't see where it fell. It aint on the ground and now I'm gonna have to tear this thing apart lookin for it. I don't dare start it or move the car cuz it might make it worse. Can't tell the wifey who is in the house cuz she already gripes about me spendin too much time on the car...this is just more ammunition for her...LOL! Anyway...jus thought I'd share my dilemma with ya...

Jack up the car and take off the gaurd. Or get one of those long mirrors and magnet tool and keep searching. I've lost a lot of stuff in my engine bay, but nothing like this. Good luck man.

 

Most of the time, things dropped in the engine bay will end up on the undertray. Try there. Take it off if needed.

 

Yeah, I got every piece of undertray off, no dice. Got a extendable mirror..no dice, even tried "recreating" my scenario with a penny and the penny falls to the ground every time...arghhhhh!

 

that sucks.. you cant just shake the car around like most objects ahhaha

 

what part of the bay were you working in ?

FOUND IT! Just can't get to it easely....it's bewtween the rack and pinion and subframe...almost got it!...

 

Along with all those left hand socks...

okay...after about an hour..I finally got and it's now sitting in a safe place as I continue my work...'preciate ya'll bein there by my side during my ordeal and I thank you guys for havin me in your prayers...I've now been reunited! (sniffle..sniffle)...whew...close call fellas!

(Good thing I had my laptop with wireless internet right next to the car in my driveway...this was almost like a reality show)
