Hit and Run *****

Well I went in to eat this afternoon. Came out and there is a big scratched up dent in my rear bumper. My insurance adjuster friend who was with me told me that most likely my whole bumper needs to be replaced. Just great considering my bro just wrecked my 3kgt 2 weeks ago. Nationwide is just making a killing off me this month. Anyways I was wondering if anybody knows how much it would cost for a new bumper or maybe somekind of body kit bumper that will look good on an otherwise stock car. Another thing is I have a GG MR. So do you think it will be hard for a bodyshop to match the color? Input appreciated. Thanks everybody

color match isn't hard at all, they have a device that reads the exact color of a close panel and tells the painter how to tint YOUR paint.

Thanks for help guys. I guess main thing is to see what the exact quote is. I was just wondering if now would be a good time to change to a different bumper because of this. I want to but I don't want to pay too much extra.

bump for an update. How much did it cost for the bumper? Some lady bumped my bumper and were working out a price. Did the bumper come prepainted?

Gruppe S is selling evo 9 rear bumpers, apparently they have no fitment issues and can match colors.

Might be worth your while

I got an estimate on mine yesterday from one shop. My bumper isn't noticable, but I still know its there. Anyways... They wanted to charge me $915 for new bumper painted and everything. Well I called my Mitsubishi dealership and they sell new evo 8 bumpers PREPAINTED for $464.10. That includes shipping and what not. Might be worth looking into, if you want to do it yourself. I think I'm going this route.
