Im sure some of u can recall ahile back i had a horrible job done by a local mechanic on my car. (which i never should've done). He F'D my car up (broke a ear off teh tranny, scratched my valve cover in 3 diff places, had boost issues after this, screwed up my reverse lamp switch which lead to me getting a small paint chip in the rear, and as well as a lot of headaches. This was about 6mon ago, now til this day its still affecting me, my tranny was leaking but i didnt know it was due to the crack on the ear, so now im forced to pay $560 for this case and also 150 for rental car fees for the car being in mitsu. I'm too pissed to be "nice" to this mechanic who blamed ME for the crack on the tranny. He must be outta his mind, im gonna go to him and force him to give me my money anyway I can.

 

Get a lawyer, and have him/her call. This worked with my Mustang, when they did similar stuff.

too pissed for court, im just venting, but i dont know this guy is a pretty cheap ***. I mean this *** tried to use silicone sealant and basically guaranteed me everything would be ok..u shoulda heard this guy.... SCraaaaaaatch on valve cover. His reply: oh its ok, tranny cracks: u did it.....oh its ok just buy some copper sealant, it'll work perfect no worries. he wanted to weld cast aluminum with copper. My friend who works on stereo systems knew more than this guy did.

 

Be sure and post what happens. And no matter how mad you get, don't commit a felony, its not worth it. I hate incompetent jerks like that guy....

 

thanks for the advice cuz i was heading in that direction. I just feel bad cuz this guy has caused me and my family headaches cuz of his stupid job. I know where this guy lives but its about an hour away from me so im gonna sit and think about what to do. When i think of all the headaches he has caused me, i just wanna shove a barrel in his mouth and taste my anger.

 

just make him pay! tell a lawyer, its probably the best thing to do

When I had my 1999 Eclipse GSX, I had many incompetent bafoons work on that car. Once when I got it back for suspension work someone had opened my hood and rearranged all my hoses and took everything off and put it back on wrong. For no reason at all....tint was all scratched up, car made noises....i was out of a car for 6 weeks after that crap...If I ever buy an EVO, I know one thing for sure, I'm getting a stock Dynoflash and maybe doing exhuast and that is all....I'm not giving anyone a chance to screw this one up..

Man just like most people say. Calm down get a lawyer and make him pay for his SH*T. See if you can talk to other customers (I have no idea how) but See if they have complaints also. Go 2 the BBB and complain to them.

 

o forgot to mention, this guy is a grease junky backyard mechanic which i found out AFTER the job..
