I want to get a full Exhaust for the Evo, From turbo down.

I want to keep it as quite as possable since I don't have that urge to stand out

I was told there was A greddy Exhaust that is quite.

is it the one with the silancer? does that work

silencers suck, they choke off your power. just buy a quiet exhaust. sssssssshhhhhhhhh!!!

i believe ur talkin bout greddy evo 2 exhaust system yes they are quiet. quieter than my hks hi-power stainless. the greddy still has the throaty growl @ full throttle but if ur goin full exhaust such as down pipe, free flow cat it can get louder easily..

 

well. I understand that.. if I can take it out on the weekend, put it back in when going to clients.. thats what I am looking for

you can get a real quiet cat-back, but once you put the downpipe in its gonna get louder, and if you put a cat-delete then its gonna get even louder. check the exhaust thread some exhuasts have their Db's listed as compared to the stock exhaust.

 

i dont know if the silencers make that great deal of a diference

 

Greddy Evo 2 is one of the quieter systems on the market
go with that
if youre concerned about sound for your clients, keep the stock cat

 

works system is nice and a low deep sound but pretty quite at the same time

 

the hks hi power is pretty quiet imo

 

look at the design of the pipe. HKS ones actually includes a pre-silencer.

more the pre-silencer, the quieter it is.

that and the muffler itself. magnaflow seem to be very quiet compare to other very throtty, raspy mufflers.

 

my friend has test pipe/fuji dp and fuji RM01A w/o silencer on his set up, that's one of the quietest aftermarket exhaust system i even heard on a evo

 

HKS, They are quiet and sound amazing .

 

go with HKS. very nice sound and it's not that loud.

 

I have a full Turbo back on my MR. There is not many Downpipes that will fit the MR due to the 6 speed trasnmission design. Anyway, Works racing has a 76mm Downpipe specially made for the MR.

Not only this shop(Worksracing) make the downpipe but also they own their own MR. Just to give you some feedback, Works racing made 21 Downpipes before they got the right one made, it is a perfect fit.

The other know Downpipe that I know it will fit is the HKS 2.5". If you want a bigger cat you can also get a full 3" funtional cat from Works racing.


As per the cat back, I have a Grewddy Evolution 2 catback. This exhaust is the quietest of all and is a perfect fit. The pipeing is a 81mm diameter(3.1").

Despite there are many companies that make a 3" Downpipe for the EVO8 never forget that only a couple fits the 05 MR due to the different tranny.
