Max PSI For Stock Head Studs

Hi, I would like an expert opinion on what is the max psi the stock Headstuds with the stock turbo?

Using Race Gas or C16?

Can it handle 28psi on the stock headstuds with C16? or Methanol Injection?

Thanks

i don't think its the boost, i think its the power ur making. To be on the safe side, put new studs in around 300-350 whp.

They stretch. Then there is no longer a tight seal on the head/block.

Is he including head springs, or are those separate?

I believe the head studs for $65 were sold. Price for installment is more then the studs themselves .

Cheapest place I've seen the head stud is summitracing.

I dont think you should boost 28 psi on stock head studs. Check the dynoflash forum sticky. I think AL recommends AR head studs with alcohol injection

Only an idiot would boost 28psi without arp's. I mean come on, doesn't that seem a little much. I boost 25-26 psi on C16, and I have the arp's in my car. Oh and to answer your question, no.

Dude the way some people refuse this little bit of cheap insurance you would think they've never broken anything and actually had to fix it themselves

Stock bolts are fine with about everything you can do with the stock turbo unless your name is Curt Brown. There are a bunch locally here including myself that boost 27+/- psi w/ no problems. I use meth injection. How many have had problems is the question you should be asking. As long as you are not detonating, you should be fine with stock bolts.

There is even a 1g on a FP red trapping 130mph on stock 1g bolts. Pretty amazing stuff.

Can't very well sell you some ARP's if it is known that the stockers are fine, eh?
