Is anyone else lazy like me?

man I tired to install my AFC last night.... and looked at it and put everyhting away, didnt feel like doing it. so I bought the harness just a sec ago.

I figure I dont want to screw anything up for one thing, but also if i paid someon to do it it would be close to the cost, this way, i can just unhook it if i sell the car.

i've done stuff like this before for gauges, but I just dont feel like screwing stuff up. I dotn have the best track record for mistakes like that.

um... you think that's lazy? I've changed my test pipe in and out with a high flow cat, and changed my rims at track days... that's about ALL I do 100% on my own, the boost gauge and MBC I helped with, but not much... and the pod the gauge is in I did on my own but it's not the best install job...

i notice if something goes too smooth then something is obvisously wrong. i mean if something goes wrong then usually more then likely it will run better after the problem is solved. but yea i get lazy with stuff too. you just have to motivate yourself.

getting some friends together to work on everyones car is always a good motivator. Get all your evo buddies and start wrenchin'...i helped on my friends AFC install and it was easier than I thought it was going to be.

I always hated to do wiring...its just not me
but I had to reinstall my autometer gauges in my old prelude and after it was done it was quite easy and did the own wiring on my Evo with the Defi gauge
it goes really easy if you know what wires to tap into...if not then I wont do it

i was like that. but I said f it, and did it 3 in the morning. wasn't so bad, only took 30 minutes to install everything.

hardest part of trying to figure out where to put it.

Dont worry too much about screwing up on the AFC, I was able to complete it fairly easily, even with my crappy wiring skills. Just remember to get a good wire stripper so you can splice into the wires. And if you are really scared about splicing the wires, then you can look into getting this one product that 3M makes you basically just put these clips and it automatically splices the wire for you without you doing any cutting.

buy the fields harness for added safety. it's like condoms for your ECU.
