Normally you can turn on/off with a button, just like the WRC. Switch on only when racing

Here's a video of an Audi RS4 with an anti-lag system! (Among many other mods.)

(And yes he's riding the rev limiter in order to allow the car to catch up with itself. )

When I said destroy due to the explosion, I don't literally mean that it blows apart to the point where it turns to shrapnel, but it could happen. Most of the damages that are actually worried about are on the exhaust manifold and the turbo (especially the turbo), and symptoms that are most common are cracks and holes.

Think of it this way. Each time the driver lifts his foot off the gas pedal, a turbo is hit with an explosion again and again. How long do you think the turbine will last under all that stress? Coupled with the extreme heat, about 300C above normal temperature... yeah, your exhaust system won't last long.

Yes that launch was nasty, but he bounced the rev limiter in first for several seconds...

Yes, lift off the throttle and burn their face.
Couldn't you just buy the Evo VII manifold, etc, and then get an AEM or something to do that?

it definately not for the daily drivers cause it can be a tad intrusive to your driving when you come off boost.
