A buddy of mine has an Hks upp with the hks Bov and hes venting to atmos... with the stock cams and he has no idle issues at all unless hes decelerating pretty hard...

You could just upgrade to the forge or the Mr Bov... not sure the prices but i hear they work great... if you are looking for a cheep upgrade with upp .. you can get a new 1G Bov for 50$ and that'll hold 25psi..

i have always liked the defi gauges. i suggest to shell out the xtra cash for some defi, rather than buying some no name gauges. the xtra money is worth it.

PLEASE do not pay someone to install a bov for you.. Theres many how to's on here and it will take you 5-10 minutes if you are quick.. You simply disconnect the hose/clamp pull out your diverter valve and put into place a new blowoff valve.. PLEASE dont pay anyone.

Basically all of the blow off valves mentioned will "work". You just need to buy a flange for them to make them fit to your stock intercooler piping. If you get a BOV that vents to the atmosphere (ala the Blitz or RFL) they will be loud.. but they will make your car idle badly, make you run rich between shifts etc.. so dont do that either. In fact, on a stock car there is actually no point to a blow off valve as your stock valve should be holding stock boost fine. If you really just have an urge for a blow off valve get a Greddy Type-S and make sure you have the adapter flange with it and it will take you 5 minutes to put on.

I have the AEM intake which I really like. It was a little bit of a pain to install but not too bad. I like te way it comes with a heat shield to keep the hot air from the exhaust manifold and turbo away from the filter and it keeps the stock ram air scoop to feed cool air to the side of the heat shield where the filter is. So you are getting the benefit of cold air like the stock box but you are getting less air restriction.

i would suggest you reading up first than asking whats "popular"out here on the forums.its a hit or miss on some bov since some works on others some doesnt.if youre gonna mod start with a turboback exhaust/mbc/s-afc and dont forget a boost gauge now this would definitelymake an impression rather than the "psssh" sound

I have the Type S myself, some boost surge but overall I'm happy with what I got. It's Cir. not VTA. Evos don't like VTAs for some reason. Very sensitive.
I hear GFB Hybrid half/half is pretty good?
