New EVO Owner :) Need BOV Opinions

I just picked up a 03 evo yesterday 23k miles, upgrade from a 2000 323ci , and the first mod i wanted to do was a Blow-Off Valve. I wanted to know what majority out there is getting and why. I want one that gives me the less problems but still want it loud as f*ck despite people thinking it may be rice but i dont want all these problems and do you think warranty will be void i extended mine to 72k 4 year and the last thing i want to do is to void it. Money is no object i just dont want a piece of crap bov that i will regret buying.

Thanks alot guys i look forward to having an awesome relationship here, also anyone know where i can get a chrome EVO VIII U.K badge the cheapest from, thanks .

I've been looking at the HKS SSQ and the Greddy-S what's so special about the one you posted and which one is more "effective" also how much you think labor might be to get one installed i am def. not going to do it on my own ill end up messing something up.

-Thanks

ive had three of them, hks, blitz and the greddy type s... out of all of the i like the type s the most, and with the recirc kit there are no stalling issues at all. i would say what ever you do don't go with the blitz at all,its a piece of crap!! oh and which ever you do go with make sure you recirculate it. take care and welcome to the addiction.

greddy is ok, but it's not loud at all. it squeaks. I have a duel port Turbosmart BOV i recirc and vta. about 30% vent and 70% recirc. i've had it for 4 months now. I've never stalled or had any problems, sounds great, very loud. I have it in combanation with the injen intake which rocks too.

Go for the Greddy type s. If you plan to get an intake, the bov will be very loud, trust me, mine is. You get the loud psht sound followed by the chirp. Plus it fits exactly like the stock one and I have owned 2 of them now and never had any problems.

Or you could save some money and buy an MR Diverter Valve. That would be good for a little bit more boost over stock levels. The only drawback is that's it's really not loud at all. Combine it with an intake though and I hear it gets pretty darn loud. Nobody ever mentions the GFB bov. That's supposed to be a good one too. But the MR DV definatley holds boost better than the stock DV and has no drawbacks that other BOV's may have.

what kind of intake do you recomend then? whats really popular on these forums i believe the stock one is ram-air correct so pry more effective then a cone type? non of the cars i've owned had an aftermarket intake installed but if you say the greddy-s+intake is the best combo whats the best intake on the market right now for the evo 8..thanks a bunch.
