My manager just got back from Normal IL. for the Dealer launch of the Endeavor. He stated that Mitsubishi Corp. anounced that the Evolution will hit port Feb 23rd!!!!

Nice! Do cars really sit at the port for 2 weeks before they are allowed to move to their destination? My Mini took 2 days to clear at the port of Baltimore....but this is likely a completely different thing.

And where exactly is the port again?

My dealership told me that my car will arrive at their dealership on 3-3-03 so i guess that's the delivery date not the ship date from port.

 

The port is in Hueneme, CA

 

Are the docks still backed up because of last months Union strike/ work slowdown out there?

yep same port as my Evo came from. It was in customs for about 2 weeks. Hueneme is about 1.5 hrs from LA, right near Oxnard.

 

How many threads do we really need about ship dates and delivery dates?

For anyone who is expecting to take delivery of the first batch of Evo's it will happen in the 1st half of March. That's all you really need to know.

All these dates that people have been throwing around, I watch them every day on the Mitsu inventory tracking system. They change EVERY DAY. Do not obsess over them.
