Quote: I have 90K and I'm still on the stock clutch. No slipage but the engagement is at the high side of the pedal now. I did have the first clutch replaced at 5K due to a faulty throwout bearing. I wasn't having any trouble with the clutch, the TOB was just making a bunch of noise. They elected to replace it all so I said why not?
So to be clear I have 85K on my current stock clutch with no slipping yet!
Holy ****, you pretty much just proved that the Evo and the stock clutch is not a POS like DSMs are.

28,300 here with the stock clutch, mild power mods. Im not overly easy on it but not frequently harsh on it either.

Picked up my 03 on 6/30/03 and fixing to turn over 20k.
Stock clutch still going strong.
One lunch hour lapping session, one all day lapping session and numerous autocrosses.

I don't think the dealer would install an aftermarket clutch. Especially not the dealerships in the DC Metro Area.

A dealership may only use OEM parts to make repairs under warranty. It is in fact a stock EVO VIII factory clutch, with 85K miles on it. I don't launch it but I get it moving quickly and then beat the **** out of it on these back woods WV mountain roads!

Simply put...I drive it like a rally car not a mustang on a local strip!

03 Purchased in May

30000 stock clutch no problems... engagement is high just like when I got the car new...

No slippage about 10 clutch drops from 5000-6000 rpm..

Grabby when cold it studders.. after warm up perfect...

Clutch rattling fairly loud but the whole car is .. and love it
