or, you can jack the front up in the middle. i do that on the metal plate under the motor, it has a little "knob" that is raised from the plate. although, it is not exact center, so one end gets raised a little higher than the other

My pinch weld is almost flattened out, looks real bad. I'm glad it's under the car and doesn't do anything.

I can see bare metal where that rail is chewed up. I dont want it to start rusting.

off topic, but that sears HQ is monstrous.. i was there a few months for TGI (The great indoors). It could be like the biosphere (self contained)

How much are those sears jacks? You can get similar jacks at harbor freight. They have various models with varying degrees of quality at various prices. variously.

I would personally jack from the suspension arm mount points its a lot more sturdy plus it doesnt chew it up. Nobody may see it yeah but if u bend it all up the paint will chip on it and cause it to rust...

you could actually jack up the front and back at a center spot. I can't remember what it's called, but it's a round spot.

rear too.

This is what I use. You can jack at the factory points without damaging the car. It's from JC Whitney and cost less than $6.

Well, however you jack up the car, put it on jackstands before crawling underneath the car just in case the jack fails and collapses.

A block of wood seems to prevent the chew but that rubber piece for $6 looks like the way to go.

I don't see how that rubber piece would make it any more stable, other than it protecting the seam.

You could also use a hockey puck if you're worried about chewing it up.... but really people, those pictures are after jacking my car up 20+ times. I'm not trying to be insensative, but quit sweating the small stuff
