EVO8LTW,

Do you have the specific name for the block in your photo? That is something I'd like to order form JCWhitney but I can not find it on their web site.

I called JC Whitney a couple of months ago - they don't carry it any more - I had a supervisor double check the sales person.

I searched the internet and found another company that sells something similar for aboput $20 - I think I used google and searched "Jack block."

Yeah I did a seach too and found similar products, but I really liked that one. And for six bucks, you can't beat it. Oh well, maybe I'll end up making my own.

For those of you that have Rhino Ramps, do you use the 8000 or 12000? By the looks of the 8000s, the Evo tires are too wide for them.

Does anyone have a real life picture of the center front jack point?

I ended up buying the Rhino Ramp 1200s. They are barely wide enough to get the tires on and you have to jack the car up and slide the ramps underneath the tires. Make sure you have jack that can lift the car up more than 18-1/2 in. because with my floor jack we had to jack the car up to the max (18-1/2 in.) and then have someone lift the wheel up to get the ramps underneath each of the rear wheels.

I use some 1/2 inch scrap plywood 6" square 2 pieces per pad cut 1 to make two 2 and 3/4 x3" pieces screw them together. so there is a slot in the middle for the seam car goes up no damage.

Wood isnt the safest material to use, it has cracked for too many people. Especially when you cut a slot in it you create a huge weak point. if you use an unmodified 2x4 or 4x4 or whatever you should be fine...but when you go cutting a slot in it, it becomes unsafe. We need to keep people safe while under their cars.

These seem like great products. Check to make sure it will fit your jack before you buy it.

word, i only use a arm joints or frame points. i would avoid the stock jack points.

i also use my jackstands in those positions. but about 85% of the time i use rhino ramps.

if i want to lift the whole car like when doing an exhaust, ill drive the front up on rhino ramps, and then jack up the back and put the ramps under the back the wheels. whole car is lifted with no stands or jacks to worry about.
